The design process began with understanding the client’s requirements: a spacious, open-plan kitchen that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the living area. We chose a minimalist design with sleek lines, light wood finishes, and high-end appliances, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. The layout was reimagined to maximise storage and functionality while maintaining an open flow that connects with the dining and living areas.
We focused on upgrading the key elements, starting with the cabinetry. Custom-built units were designed to optimise storage, with innovative features like pull-out pantry shelves and hidden compartments. The worktops, made from durable quartz, offer a clean and sophisticated look while being easy to maintain. A central island became the focal point, providing additional prep space and doubling as a breakfast bar, perfect for casual dining and socialising.
Lighting played a crucial role in enhancing the overall ambiance. We installed under-cabinet LED strips for task lighting and incorporated pendant lights above the island, adding both functionality and style. The combination of natural light from large windows and strategically placed artificial lighting ensures a bright, airy feel throughout the day and night.
We also prioritised sustainability in this renovation. Energy-efficient appliances were selected to reduce the kitchen’s environmental footprint, and eco-friendly materials were used throughout the design.
